Manager of Influencer Marketing (m/w/d) (80-100%)
SOS Humanity is a donation-funded organisation dedicated to sea rescue in the central Mediterranean. It was founded in Berlin in 2015, has since rescued almost 40,000 people in distress at sea, and is currently carrying out rescue operations with the vessels Humanity 1 and Humanity 2. The vision of this non-profit organisation is a world in which everyone’s human rights are upheld and no one fleeing across the sea has to drown.
We are currently looking for a
Manager of Influencer Marketing (m/w/d) (80-100%)
Your role
The Manager of Influencer Marketing will strengthen the SOS Humanity fundraising team and act as the central point of contact between fundraising, social media, and external service providers. They will inspire people to take an interest in the cause of sea rescue and the organisation’s work and win them over as supporters and advocates. In doing so, they will build relationships and help to communicate the organisation’s causes visibly and
effectively to the outside world.
Your responsibilities
Creator Relations & Influencer Management: You will be responsible for our collaborations with influencers, creators and streamers. You will work closely with our external service provider: together, you will identify suitable collaboration partners, secure their participation and support them as their dedicated point of contact
throughout the entire collaboration process. You will nurture long-term relationships with our partners and continuously develop our creator network.
Donor Journeys: You will set up personalised donation forms for individual collaborations and design the donor
journeys for people who find us through creators, ensuring that an initial interaction turns into long-term support.
Based on testing, you will continuously refine both.
Events & Formats: You will plan and organise our collaboration formats, including fundraising streams, community events on land and creator events on board our ships. To do this, you liaise closely with the crew, the communications and fundraising teams, and our external service provider. You also travel regularly to Italy to support influencers and manage events on site.
Content & Social Media: You will create content, edit video footage and prepare it for social media platforms and our donor journeys. In doing so, you will work closely with the communications team to coordinate content,
publication timings and collaborations between influencers and our own channels.
Controlling & Analysis: You will regularly evaluate all influencer marketing initiatives and establish a monitoring
and reporting system that reliably shows what works and what does not.
Your Profile
• Experience in influencer marketing (at least 2 years), event management or fundraising, ideally within an NGO context
• Experience in KPI reporting, analysing campaigns and events, and deriving concrete recommendations for action; a strong understanding of data-driven communication and performance analysis
• Extensive and regular use of, as well as very good knowledge of, relevant social media platforms – particularly Instagram, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok and podcast platforms – and current influencer and creator
trends. You know which influencers are currently relevant, up-and-coming or established, and can recognise which individuals or formats we would prefer not to be associated with
• Experience in setting up and managing donor journeys (ideally using Klaviyo) as well as in producing social media content, particularly video recording and editing (e.g. using Canva, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve)
• Excellent written and spoken German and English; knowledge of Italian would be an advantage
• A high degree of flexibility and a willingness to travel, particularly for regular trips to Sicily
• Strong communication skills, a genuine enjoyment of interacting with a wide variety of people, as well as a friendly, open manner and the ability to represent the organisation confidently to the outside world
• An independent, structured approach to work, particularly when managing several projects simultaneously, as well as organisational skills and reliability in acting as a liaison between external partners and the internal team
• A strong identification with the values and goals of SOS Humanity
We offer you
• A role with responsibility and a sense of purpose within a dynamic non-governmental organisation with flat hierarchies
• Flexible working hours and the option of hybrid working
• A modern workplace in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg
• Starting salary in line with our internal pay structure: €3,000–3,300 gross per month, depending on professional experience and, where applicable, social factors
• A contribution towards the Deutschland-Jobticket or alternative transport options, as well as access to the Probonio benefits app
• Opportunities for professional development, including an annual training budget
• An employment contract initially limited to one year – we aim to extend it
SOS Humanity is committed to a diverse, fair and respectful working environment. We are dedicated to a society free from racism and discrimination and expressly welcome applications from people affected by structural disadvantage or under-representation.
