What is there to see?

The “Ready to Rescue” exhibition by SOS Humanity uses impressive photographs and accompanying texts to provide moving insights into our search and rescue operations, makes the inhumane situation in the central Mediterranean visivle, tells human stories from close up – and asks questions we need to discuss together.

The photographs on display were taken between 2022 and 2024 on board our rescue ship Humanity 1. The professional photographers were themselves part of the crew and rescue teams. Their proximity to the mission and to those rescued is reflected in their photographs: they are sensitive, respectful and moving – snapshots of humanity in the midst of an ongoing and politically caused humanitarian crisis.

Why participate?

With your own exhibition, you will become part of a network of people who are campaigning against deaths in the Mediterranean and for humanity. You will give a voice to those who would otherwise remain unheard and contribute to political change. Together, we can set a course for solidarity
