The skipper is responsible for safe navigation and overall command of the vessel, including crew safety, operational decision-making, and communication with authorities.

The SARCo leads and coordinates all SAR operations on board, including planning, training, strategic decision-making and coordination with external actors.
The CareCo leads and coordinates all survivor care-related activities, including communication in Arabic, distribution of essential items, crowd management, protection-related support, and is part of the RHIB team.
The Comms Lead manages communication, documentation, and information flow on board and with land structures, and coordinates media work on board.
The Mechanic is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel’s engines and technical systems, ensuring overall mechanical readiness and safety throughout the deployment.
The Doctor leads the medical response on board, providing care to survivors and crew in a low resource setting, managing the onboard clinic, and ensuring continuity of care.
The Medic supports the Doctor in delivering medical care, including triage, emergency response, and patient assessment during operations.
The Protection Representative ensures protection standard on board, identifies and supports vulnerable individuals, coordinates referrals and provides information on asylum and survivor rights.
The Rhib driver operates and maintains the RHIB, ensuring safe and effective deployment during SAR operations.
The RHIB lead coordinates the RHIB team, operations on the water, and manages communication between the RHIB and bridge during rescues.
The Media representative documents operations through photo and video, ensuring ethical storytelling and compliance with consent and safeguarding standards.
The Co-Skipper supports the Skipper in navigation and vessel management, leads watches, and takes over the ship command if required.
Leads navigational watches and supports deck operations to ensure safe vessel movement.
Supports maintenance and repair of engines, electrical systems, IT and general onboard equipment.
Manages food planning, provisioning, and preparation for crew (and survivors if needed), ensuring reliable meal supply throughout the rotation.
