Since our founding in Berlin in 2015, SOS Humanity has been active as a civilian search and rescue organisation to ensure that no one has to drown at sea and that everyone is treated with dignity. With our rescue ships Humanity 1 and Humanity 2 we operate in the central Mediterranean to rescue people in distress at sea, protect them and bring them to a place of safety.

For our operational crew we are looking for a RHIB lead

The RHIB Lead is one of 15 roles within a 10-person crew and is therefore typically combined with another role or set of responsibilities. The Rhib Lead is responsible for:

• Leading the RHIB team during operations
• Managing radio communication between RHIB and bridge
• Ensuring RHIB readiness together with the RHIB Driver
• Supporting the SARCo in trainings and participating in lookout shifts
• rescue equipemnt on board RHIB and vessel

Qualifications:

• SAR experience in the RHIB
• Experience in radio communication
• SRC licence desired not manditory
• Navigational experience
