Mit ihrem Beitritt zum Bündnis „Sichere Häfen“ hat die Stadt Oldenburg bereits ein Zeichen der Humanität gesetzt – nun lässt sie in Kooperation mit der Initiative Seebrücke Oldenburg weitere Taten folgen: Oldenburg übernimmt die Patenschaft für das Seenotrettungsschiff Humanity 1. Das Schiff ist im Mittelmeer im Einsatz, um auf der Flucht in Seenot geratene Menschen zu retten.

By joining the “Port of Safety” alliance, the city of Oldenburg has already set a sign of humanity – now, in cooperation with the initiative Seebrücke Oldenburg, the city is taking further action: Oldenburg is taking over the sponsorship of the search and rescue ship Humanity 1. The ship is deployed in the Mediterranean to rescue people in distress at sea.
